🌍 Meet Catherine and Amelia 📚
Two third-year students in the Global Development program at Queen’s University, Catherine and Amelia bring unique perspectives to campus life. Catherine, minoring in politics, is excited to head to the Netherlands 🇳🇱 on exchange next semester, while Amelia proudly reps her Toronto roots 🏙️. We sat down with them to chat about their experiences, from crazy nights out to campus fashion.
🔥 Craziest Story at Queen’s?
Catherine and Amelia reminisced about a night at Ale House that went a little too late:
“We were there so late that they had to play Closing Time 🎶 to get us out,” Catherine shared, laughing. Now that’s dedication to the night! 🍹🕺
💔 Programs They’d Never Date
When it comes to deal-breakers, Commerce made the list again:
“There’s just this stereotype that people in Commerce are a little full of themselves,” Catherine admitted. 🤑
Amelia chimed in: “Maybe someone in Comp Sci—I just don’t think we’d click.” 💻✖️
🧠 Smartest Major at Queen’s?
Both agreed: ⚙️ Engineering takes the crown for smarts. 👑📐
⚖️ Balancing GPA and Social Life
With GPAs around 3.7, Catherine and Amelia have mastered juggling academics and fun:
Catherine: “I study with friends—it’s a good way to be productive and social at the same time.” 📖👯♀️
Amelia: “I plan ahead and try to get all my work done before the weekend so I can go out. If I’m in the library all the time, it’s counterproductive.” 📅🎉
Smart strategies that keep the FOMO away.
✨ Rating the Style of Guys at Queen’s
When it comes to campus fashion, the verdict was lukewarm:
Catherine: “I’d give it a 7.5.” 👕🩳
Amelia: “Maybe a 6. First-year style brings the overall score down!” 🤦♀️
They agreed that winter doesn’t help. “Everyone’s just in sweatpants—it’s hard to judge when it’s freezing out.” ❄️
📢 One Message for Queen’s Students
Their advice is simple but impactful:
Amelia: “Say hi to each other more.” 👋💛
Catherine: “Branch out. It’s easy to stick to people you know, especially if you’re from Toronto like us, but try to meet as many new people as you can.” 🌟🤝
From 🎶 late nights at Ale House to 📖 smart study strategies, Catherine and Amelia shared a candid and fun look at Queen’s life. Their advice? Be open, branch out, and embrace the experience. 💯
