Mahak and Sophia are both in their fourth year of Commerce at Queen’s, reflecting on their time on campus and sharing a mix of wild stories and honest advice. Mahak moved to Canada when she was 10, while Sophia is a first-timer at Cogro. Here’s what they had to say about their Queen’s experience.


🔥 Craziest Story at Queen’s?

Mahak: “I was at a house party that turned into a rain party—people started throwing buckets of water on the floor. The floor was on the verge of falling apart.” 🎉🌧️


Sophia: “I was at a house party, and the floor actually broke. We were boogieing, getting down, and then the floor just gave out.” 🕺💥


🍹 Favorite Party Drink?

Mahak: “Preeing with an Aperol Spritz, especially for Hoco or Foco when you’re drinking during the day.” 🍊🍹

Sophia: “Espresso martini—caffeine and booze in one drink? Perfect.” ☕🍸

🛌 How Many Hours of Sleep Did You Get Last Night?

Mahak: “14—I’m getting over a cold.” 😴💊

Both agreed on Health Sci and Engineering:


Mahak: “One of my housemates is in Health Sci—I haven’t seen her all year, and I don’t think she’s gone out since September.” 🩺📚

Sophia: “Definitely Engineering—anything blending Health Sci with it sounds brutal.” ⚙️💻

“Not being respectful in public places, like not being nice to waiters.” 🚩💔

💕 Dating Advice for Queen’s Students?

Mahak: “Be yourself. If you don’t want to date, don’t feel pressured to. Most people’s experiences are negative anyway.” 💡

Sophia: “Look for potential dates in class, not just at bars. And don’t trust the dating apps here.” 📖✖️

🚩 What’s Your Red Flag?

Mahak: “I’m hyper and talk non-stop, but then sometimes I just shut off and don’t want to talk.” 🤷‍♀️

Sophia: “I jump to conclusions, make assumptions without communicating, and believe them before checking if they’re true.” 💭

Mahak: “Engineering.” ⚙️🔥
